Hello, I'm Sandra Becker-Warden. I have provided counseling as a licensed clinical social worker for over 30 years to individuals, couples, families and groups. I graduated Cum Laude with my BSW in Social Work, majoring in psychology and social work from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. After practicing as a school social worker in Iowa, I attended Washington University, George Warren Brown School of Social Work, where I graduated with my MSW. Over the years, I have obtainted advanced training and developed clinical expertise in a number of areas. Some of the areas in which I have gained expertise are as follows: child and adolescent behavior and communication patterns, couple communication, eating disorders, grief, trauma, anxiety and depression. I enjoy working with all ages from toddlers to senior adults.
In 1985, I started my private practice that today operates as Family Life Consultants, Inc. FLC offers services in two locations and their respective surrounding areas; Collinsville, IL and Lake Ozark, MO. My mission is to provide comprehensive quality service through linking clients to the FLC therapist best experienced and trained to address their specific problems if I am unavailable.
Dennis Baker received his Master of Science degree in Counselor Education from Southern Illinois University. He is a licensed clinical professional counselor, certified alcohol and other drug counseling, certified MISA counselor, and was trained and certified in treating problematic gambling. He has over 26 years experience in providing counseling services to public agency clients, three years experience with Madison County in developing and implementing the Madison Country Mental Health Court, and the early stages of developing the Madison County Veterans Court.
He can help adults and adolescents struggling with family issues, mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar), past traumas, substance abuse, problematic gambling, or psychotic disorders. His approach is client entered, respectful, cognitive-behavioral, with blend of multiple disciplines based on what is most helpful in any given situation.
Lynn received her Bachelor of Social Work degree fromValparaiso University,Indiana, and Master of Social Work degree from Washington University, Missouri. She worked for many years in schools with students and families at both the grade school and high school levels. At Family Life Consultants,Lynn works with individuals, families and couples. Utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral, Interpersonal and Psychodynamic Therapies, she seeks to help clients increase self-esteem, improve communication skills, resolve relationship conflicts and process major life events, in order to reach their goals.
Amanda MCcallister received her Master of Social Work degree from Southern Illinois University. She is a licensed clinical social worker and certified alcohol and drug counsleor. Amanda began her career at a local social service agency working with Madison County Drug Court program, then transitioning to child/adolescent and family therapy. Amanda has extensive training and experience serving adults, teens, and families experiencing substance abuse conerns.
Amanda has been a member of a workgroup focusing on early childhood mental health, and has a special interest in maternal attachment, postpartum depression, and assisting with parenting concerns. Amanda’s focus areas also include teen issues, depression, anxiety, family conflict resolution, and LGBT issues. Amanda lives in the Collinsville area with her spouse and two children. She is available to meet with you in the evening and on weekends to accommodate your busy schedule.
As a therapist, Kelsey strives to meet her clients where they’re at and increase their self-awareness, which in turn helps them understand their thoughts and feelings in relation to the problems at hand. She realizes that her clients are the experts in their own life experiences, therefore, utilizes an individualistic approach in working alongside them in efforts to restore emotional balance.
Kelsey graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with her Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Social Work. Her clinical background consists of expertise in assessment, crisis intervention, case management, consultation, individual and family therapy, and linkage of care services. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in an array of areas: anxiety, depression, grief, trauma/PTSD, stress management, behavioral issues, relationship/marital issues, co-parenting, codependency, divorce, eating disorders, and substance abuse.
