Madelyn Monge, LCSW, is a holistic therapist who integrates evidence-based clinical modalities with mind–body and energy-informed approaches to support whole-person healing. She obtained her Master of Social Work degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and graduated summa cum laude from Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois, with Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology, concentrating in Mental Health Disorders. During her undergraduate studies, she also completed coursework in Neuroscience and Gender & Women’s Studies.
Madelyn has completed and currently practices using trainings in Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping), Emotion Code, and ThetaHealing, which she incorporates when clinically appropriate to support emotional processing and regulation. She is deeply interested in human behavior and cognition, particularly how thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences shape one’s perception of self and the world. Her clinical approach is influenced in unconditional positive regard and client-centered therapy, inspired by Carl Rogers, with a strong commitment to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to share their stories openly and move toward self-determination and healing.
Madelyn works with individuals experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, career and academic stress, and relationship strain. She also supports clients in reconnecting with their sense of identity, autonomy, and inner stability after periods of emotional disruption or life change. Her integrative therapeutic approach uses holistic styles rooted in several ancient Chinese energy-based healing systems with more traditional and modern therapeutic styles, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and talk therapy. When blended together, these approaches support emotional regulation and mind–body awareness.
